Do you just do auto body repair?
No. McCollum Auto Body is the Northwest’s premier one-stop auto repair facility! We are proud to say that we are one of the few shops that does everything in house. Whether you need body and paint work or a new motor, McCollum’s does it all right here inside our own doors. This allows us to stand behind our warranties and results in you getting your vehicle back faster. Anything that your vehicle may need, McCollum’s can take care of it!
Do you work with my insurance company?
Yes, we work with all insurance companies. Although insurance company guidelines vary, we know what it takes to get the job done. We will work within your insurance company’s guidelines and ensure that your vehicle is returned to pre-loss condition and gets back on the road as soon as possible.
Do I have the right to choose who repairs my car, or is it up to the insurance company?
Per Oregon and Washington state law, you the vehicle owner have the right to choose where your vehicle is repaired. We encourage all of our customers to check reviews from other people before picking an auto repair facility.
Can I get other repairs done on my vehicle while it is in the body shop?
Absolutely! Just let your estimator know what other work you would like done, and he or she will take care of it for you.
What can I expect when I drop off my car?
Upon dropping off your car, you will be greeted by a McCollum Auto Body customer service representative who will review the vehicle damage with you and go over any additional damage that may exist. We will then have you fill out a repair authorization form and get you set up in a rental or loaner vehicle. You will be asked for your preferred method of contact so that our estimators can keep you up to date on your vehicle’s repairs.
Is your work guaranteed? How long is your warranty?
Our work IS guaranteed! McCollum Auto Body guarantees our work with a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car.
Do you have free loaners or rental cars?
Yes, we do! At McCollum’s, we have over 40 loaner vehicles for our customers who have no rental coverage on their insurance policy. If you do have rental coverage, we can arrange a rental car for you on site. Either way, you will have something to drive while your vehicle is being repaired.
Can you save me my deductible?
We understand that the need for a body shop has come unexpectedly, but any honest auto repair facility will say no to this question. The deductible is an agreement between you and your insurance company.
What if my car is a total loss?
If the insurance company determines that your vehicle is a total loss, we can recommend a couple of preferred dealerships. They can help you not only determine the value of your current vehicle but assist you in securing a new vehicle, too!

Detail for Life is something that we are very proud to offer, and our customers love it! Four times a year, for as long as you own your car, McCollum’s will clean your vehicle inside and out for FREE! Ask your customer service representative if you qualify.
How long will the repairs take?
Because every job is different, it is difficult to give you a time frame without looking at the vehicle. Once the vehicle is in our shop, we will completely disassemble it, and then a customer service representative will be able to give you an estimate of how long the job will take. Our staff will keep you updated throughout the repair process so that you know exactly what is going on with your vehicle every step of the way.

Hand wash your vehicle and avoid car washes for at least 90 days as they may damage the paint.
